A Holiday Photostory- With a Bonus!

A Holiday Photostory:

I'm sooo bored! Thought Alexis Miri on a late December night.  "I know," she exclaimed.  "I'm going to finish decorating the house for Christmas!"  Alexis headed to the banister.  "Hmmm..." She said.  " I think I'll do lights and garland!

I took Alexis forever, but she finally got close to finishing the lights.

"Almost done, " Alexis whispered as she twisted the last lights into place.  But then...

Alexis tripped on the lights and fell! "Well, that didn't go as planned!" She grumbled.

Next, Alexis wanted to decorate the mantle.  But, there was just one small... well, BIG problem.

The family puppy was asleep by the fireplace!  Alexis didn't want to wake him up, because she would be at risk of being chewed.  So Alexis crept silently and softly over to the side table, where she climbed it to reach the mantle.

"Almost there..." Alexis willed her arm to stretch a little further.  Finally, she reached it!  She climbed up on the mantle and started to hang garland and ornaments.

"I'm finally finished!" Alexis said with a happy sigh.  It was hard work, but it all paid off in the end!

                                            THE END

Did you enjoy the photostory? Should I make more?  Please let me know.

Anyways, did you see the beautiful infinity scarf that Alexis was wearing?  You may have remembered it from the last post.  This has to be the easiest craft I have ever made, and I'm going to show you how to make it.

Materials:

1. Snapped or non-snapped headband
2.  A trendy doll!

The elastic in my headband snapped one day, and I was about to throw it out, but then I realized it could be used for something.

I used it for an infinity scarf!  It was so easy to do, and it looks great!

Post Info:
Model: Alexis Miri
Tunic Shirt: 2010 JLY meet outfit top
White Tights: Springfield Doll at Michael's
Boots: Saige's meet boots

Catching Fire! SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Dollie Lovers!

ATTENTION!!!! IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE OR READ THE BOOK LEAVE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was a lot of capital letters! OK, so yesterday I saw The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.  It was very good, especially since I love the books. I thoroughly enjoyed it!  The one thing that disappointed me is that Catching Fire is supposed to be focused on Haymitch's history and the origin of the mockingjay pin- but they messed that up in the first movie by having Katniss get it from the Hob instead of getting it from Madge.  When Cinna was getting beat up, I wanted to cry, even though I knew it was going to happen.  I basically knew every move they were going to make but my teeth were still chattering - it was sooo intense!

So, that's all for now, I just had to share that with you guys, even though it isn't doll-related.
Ciao,

My American Girl Wishlist

Hey Dollie Lovers!

It is almost that time of year! I love the warm cozy days inside with hot chocolate and a good book! Anyways, I was flipping through the latest AG catalog and put together a wishlist!

1. Brocade Holiday Dress

I love this dress!  It is still very holiday-y but it is a bit different saying it isn't red.  I love the rosettes on the dress and the the sparkles all over.  I think the damask with stars print is very original and different.  It is not to flashy, yet not too plain.

2. Sparkle Party Dress

This is the more traditional holiday dress, and it is sooo pretty and classic.  It is very girly and has a fun flouncy feel to it.  The headband has just the perfect addition of sparkle and I'm loving those shiny red shoes.  The one thing I don't like about it is the huge rose on the shoulder.  I just think it is too much and isn't needed.  But, I still like the dress.

2. Sparkle Sequin Outfit

This outfit is for those warmer fall days.  I love how American Girl is playing into the lace trend, but making it a bit different by a unique choice of color.  I LOVE THE SEQUINS!  You can never have too much sparkle in your life.  The hair clip is perfect for this outfit.  I also like how the shoes have almost a vintage feel to them.  This outfit looks beautiful on the model doll and I just happen to have the same doll  ;)

4. Rebecca's Bed and Bedding

This is something I've been wanting for a very long time.  The style is elegant, but still young and girly.  The colors are classic, and I love the gold details.

5. Julie and Ivy Best Friends Collection

I don't have any historical dolls or a best friend collection, and these are both such beautiful dolls!    I would do a lot of different styles with Julie's hair, but would probably leave Ivy's pretty hair down.  I've been wanting both Ivy and Julie for a while,  but I've never got them.  I really hope this is something I can get.

Yes I know, I know, all of these things added together are crazy expensive, like, around $465.00, but it is a wishlist right?
